About Me

Hi! I am Xiaolong Jiang (姜啸龙).
My friends prefer calling me Flynn.

I am a Master student at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), supervised by Dr. Yuzhen Zheng from the Thoracic Surgery Department. My research focuses on lung and esophageal cancer, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics, and spatial proteomics to investigate tumor microenvironment dynamics. I aim to develop and apply advanced computational methods to achieve higher-resolution insights into cellular changes, ultimately uncovering the mechanisms underlying cancer progression and drug resistance. Through these efforts, I hope to contribute to the discovery of novel therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.

My research is dedicated to leveraging high-resolution multi-omics technologies to unravel the complexities of tumor progression and therapeutic resistance, with a special focus on lung and esophageal cancers.

  • March 2024: Our case report “Hyperthermic intrathoracic chemotherapy in overcoming tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance in a patient with malignant pleural effusion” has been published in Translational Lung Cancer Research.
